SousChef System for Personalized Meal Recommendations: A Validation Study

Nutrition is an essential part of our life. A healthy diet can help to prevent several chronic diseases like diabetes, obesity, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases, being influenced by social, cultural, economic factors. Meal recommender systems are a trend assist people in finding new recipes cook adopt healthier eating habits. However, food choice complex driven multiple factors which need be reflected the personalization process these ensure their adoption. We present SousChef, meal system that plan meals considering individual’s preferences, restrictions, nutritional needs. Our approach uses rather than individual items, limiting recommendations tasteful culturally acceptable combinations. Several experiments were performed evaluate from different perspectives: nutritional, recommendations’ variability. results highlight importance using extensive diverse content meet needs with characteristics.
